The
NAAFS is Returning to Columbus
with a Vengeance
Duell, Walker, Vaughn, & Jayme All
Signed to Compete
by Jake Digman
(09/02/09
– Columbus, OH) – The fastest rising promotion in the
sport, the NAAFS, returns to the Buckeye State capitol on Saturday
September 19th for Caged Vengeance 6, featuring the top stars of both
the Pro and National Amateur Series in action live. The Lifestyle’s
Pavilion in Columbus, OH will once again be the hot spot as fans will
be treated to a night of NAAFS action that’s sure to be remembered
for a long time to come.
In
the main event, 2007 NAAFS National Amateur Middleweight Champion
Nick “the Savage” Duell (12-4-1) returns to compete in
Columbus for the first time in over a year when he squares off against
Nike Boscarino (7-3) in Pro Series Welterweight fight. Duell has long
been one of the most popular fighters in the NAAFS and has since been
rewarded for all of his hard work with a three fight contract with
the promotion. Boscarino is another fighter who had impressive amateur
credentials and is now looking to make his mark in the professional
rankings.
A
Pro Series Featherweight bout has also been signed pitting Team GriffonRawl’s
Donny “Eagle Eye” Walker (9-6) against Tony Jayme (3-3)
of Columbus MMA. After a unanimous decision loss to Joey Enright at
Caged Vengeance 4, Jayme decided to make the cut to 145 and discovered
the first name waiting for him to be Donny Walker. In addition, the
cross town rivalry continues as Matt McCabe (4-2) of Columbus MMA
takes on Billy Vaughn (6-4) of Buckeye MMA in a Pro Series Bantamweight
fight.
The
top stars in the National Amateur Series will be in action as well,
including Aaron Hughes (4-3) battling Josh Castro (7-2), Jeff McKee
(4-3) against Tom Wilson (3-1), Jason Butcher (3-0) against Philip
Clark (3-0), and Ben Cook (2-0) against Johnny Anderson (2-0) amongst
others.
